RAPAPORT... Frederick Goldman, a U.S.-based jewelry manufacturer and distributor, appointed former Gemvara executive Noah Pearce to head its quality management function.

Pearce, who has more than 20 years’ experience in the industry, has joined the company as director of quality engineering with a focus on bridal and fine jewelry. He was previously director of quality assurance and manufacturing at online retailer Gemvara, which was acquired this year by Richline Group, a subsidiary of Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway. Prior to that, Pearce managed quality assurance and product development at two pearl specialists: at Mikimoto and later at Assael.

“Noah’s impressive experience with fine and engagement jewelry, as well as his knowledge of best-in-class quality management programs, will be of significant value to our company, especially our luxury group,” said John Orrico, Frederick Goldman’s chief operating officer.
