RAPAPORT... Harrods beauty director Annalise Fard has taken on an expanded role as head of the London department store’s fine watches and jewelry division.

Fard (pictured) will retain her responsibilities for the beauty segment and also oversee Harrods’ fashion-accessories department, the company said this week. Chief merchant Helen David was in charge of that area until she left the group in June.

Fard joined Harrods in 1997 as a senior buyer’s clerk for the company’s furniture department. After leaving the company for a while, she returned in 2007 as director of the home and beauty departments.

“I am delighted to be returning to the world of fine watches and jewelry at Harrods, and to expand my experience in fashion accessories,” Fard said. “This is a hugely exciting time for these divisions at Harrods, following the recent relaunch of fine watches and fine jewelry departments and the upcoming expansion of the beauty division next year.”

In July 2017, the retailer announced a plan to double the size of the retail space available for the fine jewelry and watch department, and add a number of new brands, including TAG Heuer and Tudor.
