RAPAPORT... The Jewelers Board of Trade (JBT) has appointed Erich Jacobs president. He will succeed Richard Weisenfeld, who is retiring.

Jacobs joined JBT in 2018 as vice president of information technology, JBT said last week.

Weisenfeld first became acting president in February 2018, following the retirement of Anthony Capuano, and took on the role permanently in May of that year.

Jacobs will step into the position on September 1.
