RAPAPORT... Royal Asscher has appointed Kenji Saikachi as CEO of Royal Asscher Japan, where he will be responsible for leading the jeweler’s growth in the country.

“We are confident that [Saikachi] will successfully lead Royal Asscher to become an even more important player in the Japanese diamond jewelry market,” Royal Asscher managing director and vice president Mike Asscher said last week. “With his wealth of experience in the luxury sector, we know that he can help retailers expand their business with our…brand.”

Saikachi was previously the general manager of K. Mikimoto’s flagship store in Ginza, Tokyo, and worked for the company for 27 years. In his new role, he will collaborate with Royal Asscher Japan’s sales and marketing team, retailers and suppliers, the company added.
