Global retail stocks declined following lower-than-expected December retail sales in the US. Signet (-7%), Macy’s (-6%), Chow Tai Fook (-3%) and Kering (-3%) all fell. Mining shares fared better, with Lucara (+13%), Gem Diamonds (+10%) and Mountain Province (+6%) rising.
