RAPAPORT...
Pluczenik Diamond Company, one of Antwerp’s largest polished suppliers, has opened a cutting factory in South Africa through a partnership with local manufacturer Nungu Diamonds.

The deal sees the Belgian dealer and polisher return to the country where Isaac Pluczenik founded the business in 1948, the two companies said last week.

Tzvi and David Pluczenik, grandsons of Isaac Pluczenik and sons of current owner Chaim Pluczenik, will work closely with Kealeboga Pule, Nungu’s founder and managing director.

“Our heart has always been in South Africa,” Chaim Pluczenik noted in a statement. “The time is now for a new cutting and polishing factory equipped with technology of international standards.”
