A pink diamond ring was the top seller at Christie’s Jewels Online, smashing its estimate to rake in $126,000.

The cut-cornered rectangular modified brilliant-cut, 0.84-carat, fancy-intense-pink, internally flawless diamond ring had a high price tag of $70,000, Christie’s said last week. It was one of several items that garnered well above their high estimates at the May 31 to June 10 sale, which achieved a total of $3.5 million.

A twin-stone ring by designer Reza with a cushion-shaped, 5.56-carat Colombian emerald and a cushion-shaped, 7.51-carat Burmese sapphire also performed well. That piece, which was offered without reserve, brought in $75,600, more than double its $30,000 upper estimate.

Other notable items included a ring featuring a marquise brilliant-cut, 3.61-carat, F-color, VS2-clarity diamond, flanked by tapered, baguette-cut diamonds, which sold for $63,000, well above its $50,000 high price. A necklace by Oscar Heyman & Brothers with 116 graduated oval-shaped diamonds weighing a combined 26 to 28 carats beat its $30,000 high estimate, scoring $63,000 at the auction.

Meanwhile, a ring set with an emerald-cut, 3.84-carat, F-color, SI1-clarity diamond center stone, surrounded by 44 diamonds totaling between 2.40 carats and 2.60 carats, fetched $56,700, exceeding its $35,000 upper price.

In total, Christie’s sold 97% of items on offer at the auction.
