WFDB Unveils New Roster of Leaders

RAPAPORT... The World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB) announced a
new executive committee, selecting Mehul Shah as treasurer-general.
Shah, vice-president of Mumbai’s Bharat Diamond Bourse, takes
over from longstanding officeholder Dieter Hahn, while Rony Unterman continues
as secretary-general. The new board comprises Rami Baron, Julien Drybooms,
Anoop Mehta, Lin Qiang, Alex Popov, Reuven Kaufman, Nikhil Jhaveri and Peter
Meeus.
In addition, Michel Schonfeld takes over as deputy
secretary-general and Julien Drybooms was appointed deputy-treasurer general.
Drybooms was also named honorary life vice-president. Louise Prior takes the
role of executive director.
The changes were voted through at the 37th World Diamond
Congress in Dubai last month, at which Ernie Blom was re-elected
for a third consecutive term as the WFDB’s president and Yoram Dvash was chosen
as vice-president.
