Lucapa Diamond Company has unearthed two rough diamonds weighing more than 100 carats from its Mothae mine in Lesotho.

The 220- and 127-carat stones, which are low-quality diamonds, were found during the treatment of recovery tailings — ore that has already been processed once. They are the second and third stones weighing more than 100 carats recovered from Mothae since Lucapa began commercial production there in January, the company said Monday. The miner retrieved a 126-carat, gem-quality rough from the deposit in May.

Lucapa produced 3,096 carats from Mothae in October, a record month, it added.
