RAPAPORT... Lisa Bridge, CEO of Ben Bridge Jeweler, will serve as president on the board of directors of the American Gem Society (AGS) for a one-year term.

Bridge, who has had a spot on AGS’s board for the past 10 years, was announced as the head for the 2022 to 2023 term at the organization’s annual Conclave in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, last week. She will succeed Michael Richards of Underwood Jewelers, who completed his stint.

Alexis Padis, president of Padis Jewelry, will take over as president-elect, while Bryan Moeller, manager of R.F. Moeller Jeweler, has become secretary and chair of the gemological science committee.

Other members of the executive committee announced at the Conclave include William Farmer, Jr., as senior adviser; Larry Rickert as treasurer and chair for the finance, audit and legal committee; and John Carter as chair of the AGS laboratories advisory committee.

Joining the board for the first time are Maria Brown of Exclusively Diamonds, Jamie Luce of Jewelers Mutual Group, Kevin Mays of John Mays Jewelers and Denise Richards of Underwood Jewelers. Meanwhile, Marc Altman of B & E Jewelers, Scott Murphy of Jewelers Mutual Group, Sarah Nanasi Russell of NEI Group and Scott Udell of Two by London are exiting.
