RAPAPORT... Rapaport’s quarterly Diamond Trends Webinar outlined the key developments the trade should look out for during the holiday season and 2021.
The webinar, presented last week by Rapaport Senior Analyst Avi Krawitz, provides context regarding how Covid-19 has impacted the market during the first 10 months of the year, along with an overview of polished prices and the supply-demand dynamic that determines prices. Krawitz also presents the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats facing the industry as it acclimates to doing business in the coronavirus environment.
 “The diamond industry has a unique opportunity to realign and position itself for long-term growth,” Krawitz said. “That will require wider trade participation in macro efforts to raise demand and continued responsible and conservative supply practices.”
“A return to sustainable growth is well within our grasp in 2021,” he added.
