RAPAPORT... Martin Rapaport hosts the annual Rapaport Bankers Conference at the 2009 JCK Las Vegas show in June.

In today’s market environment, the interaction of the diamond and jewelry industry with the banking sector is of vital importance and on everyone’s minds. What is the state of memo-trading in the industry? Can one afford to trade on memo? How much distressed inventory is there in the market today.

Rapaport leads the discussion on these topics with two industry leaders – Christopher Ellis, partner at Boston-based investment banking firm Consensus, and Gerald Attanasio, senior vice president of New Jersey based Valley National Bank, fielding pertinent questions from members of the trade.
