Berkshire Hathaway’s Retail Revenue Jumps in 2015

RAPAPORT... Berkshire Hathaway reported retail revenue increased by about $8.8 billion in 2015 on the back of acquisitions of the Van Tuyl Group (now Berkshire Hathaway Automotive) and Detlev Louis Motorrad. The two businesses together contributed $8.3 billion of revenue.

The holding company did not provide a total revenue figure for the segment, which includes jewelry groups Ben Bridge Jeweler, Borsheims and Helzberg Diamonds.

Revenue from the group’s service and retailing group combined soared 64 percent to $23.47 billion. Berkshire Hathaway as a whole enjoyed an 8.3-percent revenue increase to $210.82 billion. Profit increased 21 percent to $24.08 billion.
