RAPAPORT... Jewelers of America (JA) has promoted Annie Doresca to chief financial officer, the trade organization said last week.

Doresca (pictured) has been director of finance and administration for JA since 2008. In the larger role, she will handle matters related to JA, its publishing unit National Jeweler, and the Diamond Council of America (DCA), which became an affiliate of JA in August 2017.

“Annie has been an instrumental part of our senior leadership team for the past nine years,” JA CEO David Bonaparte said last week. “Her promotion to CFO is a direct reflection on her hard work and invaluable contributions to the association.”

In addition, JA has hired Laura D’Angelo as digital content coordinator. She will be responsible for content and email productions, as well as the maintenance of digital platforms for both JA and the DCA.
