The stone, which fetched $2,896 per carat, was among 106 rough
diamonds — weighing a combined 159.34 carats — that Tango put up for sale.
Tango sources its diamonds from the Oena mine in South
Africa. The company has recovered 1,660 carats of rough since acquiring the
asset, selling the production for an average of $1,150 per carat.
