RAPAPORT... The Rapaport TradeSheet provides Rapaport Discount Prices with percentage discounts in relation to the Rapaport Price List. The discount prices reflect our opinion of prices at which natural diamonds meeting Rapaport Specification A3 are available for sale. This is the same specification used for the Price List.

The format of the TradeSheet includes prices from the current Rapaport Price List, the Rapaport Discount Price and the percentage the Discount Price is below the Price List.

For additional information about specific diamonds and their prices, readers are advised to use the RapNet Diamond Trading Network. The Rapaport Trading Department is also available to assist those seeking to buy or sell diamonds. Brokerage and auction services are provided. The trading department can be reached at email trading@rapaport.com or telephone +1-212-354-9800.

Please Note:

While the Rapaport A3 Specification defines Excellent (3X) diamonds graded by the GIA, it includes diamonds that may have gemological characteristics that reduce their price. For example, faint blue fluorescence is an acceptable parameter for RapSpec A3. The specification is also limited to data available from independent laboratories. Diamonds with no fluorescence or that are personally inspected may be priced significantly higher than the TradeSheet Discount Prices based on RapSpec A3.

It is also important to note that some physical characteristics of diamonds not included in laboratory reports impact price. Diamond grading standards also require subjective analysis. Diamond prices vary based on numerous additional factors including terms of sale, location and market conditions. Diamonds with the same specifications may trade at significantly different prices.

While the TradeSheet provides useful information about discount levels from the Price List, it is intended for diamond experts. For all the above reasons, buyers should be comfortable paying substantially more than the Rapaport Discount Price for the right diamond from the right supplier who provides the right service. The most import thing is to buy from someone you can trust.

CAUTION: THE RAPAPORT PRICE LIST AND TRADESHEET SHOULD ONLY BE USED AS A GENERAL GUIDELINE. TRANSACTION AND ASKING PRICES MAY VARY SIGNIFICANTLY. CONSULT EXPERTS BEFORE BUYING, SELLING OR VALUING DIAMONDS.

The Rapaport Group invites suggestions and comments about our diamond price information services. We are particularly interested in data about prices and your views regarding our new TradeSheet.
