Douglas to Acquire Nocibe

RAPAPORT... Douglas Holding AG, the parent company of Christ jewelers and other German brand names, is finalizing its acquisition of cosmetics retailer Nocibe, according to Les Echos. The report estimated the value of this deal would be in the range of $683 million to $752 million, and the merger would create the second-largest cosmetics retailer in France behind LVMH.

Douglas operates more 1,900 stores, mainly in Germany and the U.S., with 207 Christ jewelry stores,  1,168 perfume shops,  295 Thalia book stores, 13 AppelrathCupper fashion stores and 245  Hussel confectionery shops.
