RAPAPORT... Luxury jeweler Bulgari is preparing to light up Fifth Avenue in Manhattan with a luminous serpent that wraps around its flagship store at the corner of 57th Street.  This year, Bulgari created an iconic Christmas decoration that also celebrates the Chinese Year of the Snake with a most striking visual impact on the exterior of the building. The decoration takes the shape of Bulgari's famous Serpenti diamond necklace; its surface is comprised of more than 52 iridescent scales, each one more than three feet tall and illuminated with thousands of LED lights. Decorating crews will being installing the serpent in the evening hours of November 22 and expect to complete in time for the unveiling on the evening of November 24.
