Press Release: Lazare Kaplan International Inc. was presented with Platinum Guild International’s (PGI USA) Buyers’ Choice award, for the second year in a row, in the Red Carpet category for their 100 Carat Platinum and diamond necklace during the JCK Las Vegas show. This year’s necklace is comprised of exactly 100 carats. The center diamond is a 7.25-carat, D, VVS1 pear-shaped stone with a series of 5-carat-plus diamonds graduating down to 0.40 carats. The entire setting is hand made in platinum with superb craftsmanship applied to draw out the beauty of each diamond, truly a work of art.  “What was especially gratifying this year was that both retailers and manufacturers came by the booth asking to see the necklace everyone was talking about,” said LKI’s vice president, Marcee Feinberg. “We wanted to create something unique, that showed off our diamonds and had the ‘WOW’ factor. I believe we accomplished that. Last year, LKI’s stunning “110th Anniversary Necklace,” a classic 63.20 total carat weight diamond and platinum necklace, received the same prestigious Red Carpet award. The PGI USA awards are judged by innovation and craftsmanship in platinum design for bridal as well as fashion jewelry and gives awards in eight categories.
