Pandora's New Charm Collection Taps Destinations

RAPAPORT... Pandora Jewelry  launched a new collection of charms, tapping into the wanderlust of today's traveler. Twenty-one locations from around the world are now featured in this new collection of charms with each  sterling-silver dangle having been engraved with a design that symbolizes the spirit of each location.

"The new destination charms include 21 exciting and beautiful locations from around the world," said  Keshia Holland, the director of public relations for Pandora Americas. "These charms allow women to have a stylish representation of places they will never forget or have always dreamed of visiting."

Locations featured on the charms include Mexico, for those who enjoy lush rain forests, mountains and ancient ruins; Hollywood, whose symbol "captures the cinematic magic of the world-renowned city," according to the company; San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge, New York City and the Bahamas to name a few.

In financial news, Pandora has repurchased 2,946,481 shares as part of its previously announced share buy-back program for approximately $199 million. Pandora now holds 4,369,994 treasury shares, representing 3.4 percent of share capital. The company initiated a share buy-back program on  February 18,  to reduce share capital and meet obligations arising from employee share option programs. The buy-back program ends on December 31 and is authorized to spend up to $435 million (DKK 2.4 billion) on the scheme.
