Lucara to Join S&P/TSX SmallCap Index

RAPAPORT... The S&P Dow Jones Indices is except to add Lucara Diamond Corporation to its S&P/TSX SmallCap Index on September 19.
In the past year, Lucara's market capitalization and share price have more than doubled, boosted by the discovery of a significant number of large, high-quality diamonds at its sole operating mine, Karowe, in Botswana. At the time of this report, the company's market capitalization exceeded $800 million.
The Vancouver-headquartered mining company maintains listings on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) and NASDAQ OMX Stockholm. The company also owns a controlling stake in the Mothae mining project in Lesotho.
