RAPAPORT... Gem Diamonds has recovered two diamonds weighing more than
100 carats from its Letšeng mine in Lesotho.
The miner found a 120-carat, high-quality, white, type IIa diamond on
November 20, and a 125-carat, low-quality stone on November 19, it said. The stones are the ninth and 10th of that magnitude for the company so far
this year. It recovered five high-quality white stones and three yellow
diamonds over 100 carats earlier this year.
In 2018, the mine, known for its large, high-quality stones,
yielded 15 diamonds over 100 carats.
