IDCA Elects New Board

RAPAPORT... The Indian Diamond & Colorstone Association (IDCA) has elected Haridas Kotahwala as president to succeed the outgoing Nilesh Sheth, the organization said Friday.

Kotahwala, of Royal India USA, was voted in unanimously at the New York election on November 26. Members elected Nitin Jobanputra from Sanghvi Diamonds as vice president to take over from Sujan Doshi.

The board’s executive committee will also include Shekhar Shah of Real Gems, who will continue as secretary, while the board’s first female representative, Shiksha Naheta from Empresa Jewels, will remain as joint secretary. Doshi, from S. A. Diamonds, will take over as treasurer.

Meanwhile, Rutali Gandhi of Sagarstar Corp. has become the second female member of the IDCA board.

IDCA members also reelected the following directors:

Shrenil Bhansali of Fairway Diamonds

Prakash Mehta of Interings

Prashant Mehta of Dia Expressions

Sailesh Lakhi of Sparkles & Colors USA

Nilesh Sheth of Nice Diamonds

The following people were also newly elected as directors:

Parag Jain of Paramount Gems

Amit Jhalani of TBR International
