RAPAPORT... The Platinum Guild International USA (PGI) has hired industry veteran Rebecca Moskal as its vice president of marketing.

Moskal will be responsible for establishing and implementing marketing and communications strategies for PGI USA and its luxury jewelry brand, Platinum Born, PGI said Wednesday.

Previously, Moskal worked as a marketing and communications specialist at jewelry houses Bulgari, Van Cleef & Arpels, and David Yurman. In 2009, she set up her own agency, Communiqué, which has represented clients including JCK Events, Swiss luxury watch brand Bedat & Co., and fine jeweler Robert Procop. She has also served as vice president of the Los Angeles chapter of the Women’s Jewelry Association (WJA) and as corporate secretary of its international board of directors.

“Rebecca has been a longtime consultant to and friend of PGI USA, and we are elated to now have her bring her unparalleled knowledge and expertise to our organization in a greater capacity,” said PGI USA president Jenny Luker. “It is a very exciting time for PGI USA, with several new initiatives in development, and Rebecca will be a valuable addition to propel [us] to new heights.”

Moskal will begin her employment with the trade organization immediately.
