Platinum Guild Expands New Jewelry Line

RAPAPORT... Platinum Guild International (PGI) will offer its new line
of jewelry, Platinum Born, in 30 stores throughout the US, including major
retailer Saks Fifth Avenue.
The organization will also expand the selection it offers in
the luxury fashion-jewelry brand, which it launched in four stores in the US last year. The
collection was created to target the nation’s growing number of female
self-purchasers, PGI noted in its 2019 Platinum Jewellery Business Review last
month.
“The US jewelry industry has seen an increase in
self-purchasing women as they are choosing to commemorate their successes
through jewelry,” notes PGI USA president Jenny Luker. The line serves
professional, educated women who purchase jewelry for themselves at accessible
price points, the guild added.
Platinum Born’s jewelry pieces sell for $400 to $7,000.
