RAPAPORT... Saks Incorporated’s Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH outlet store will open in a new location in Garden City, New York on August 23. The boutique will premier at the Gallery at Westbury Plaza, which opened this month. OFF 5TH will celebrate this new location with a private party tonight for its top customers and vendor partners and donate 10 percent of sales to Autism Speaks. “OFF 5TH has been a top shopping destination in Garden City since 1997,” noted Robert Wallstrom, the president of Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH. “We look forward to reopening our doors to offer our loyal Long Island customer more style and more savings in a new spacious facility designed for a special shopping experience.” The new location was modeled in Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH’s ''luxury in a loft'' design, which maximizes efficiency and flexibility, enabling easy changes in the general layout, the retailer contended. The new Garden City store will sell women’s and men’s apparel, fine jewelry and children’s collections. Jewelry offerings will include gold, diamond, and pearls from Roberto Coin, John Hardy, Judith Ripka, Stephen Webster and other top brands.
