RAPAPORT... The Jewelry Information Center (JIC) will hold its annual GEM Awards gala on January 11, 2013, at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City. For this upcoming 11th annual GEM Awards, an inaugural GEM Award for jewelry design will be included in the roster, which already includes a lifetime achievement, corporate communications and journalistic excellence awards. "The GEM Awards brings together our industry's elite to honor individuals and companies whose work raises the visibility and status of fine jewelry and watches.
