The next edition of the International Diamond Week will be held at Ramat Gan in Israel from February 13 to 16, the nation’s diamond bourse announced.

The event will have a slightly different format this time with trading taking place on the floor of the bourse from Monday, February 13, to Wednesday, February 15, the Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE) said. Thursday, February 16, will be left open for individual meetings, free tours and other activities organized by the IDE.

The exchange also aims to grow attendance and attract people from a wider range of diamond exchanges around the world.

“This event began five years ago with the participation of the Diamond Dealers Club of New York, then grew to include the Antwerp Diamond Bourse and the Bharat Diamond Bourse of Mumbai," said Yoram Dvash, president of the IDE and vice-president of the World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB).

“This year we will work in cooperation with the WFDB to bring members of other affiliated bourses, making this a truly ‘interbourse’ event,” Dvash (pictured) added.
