RAPAPORT... The average price of an engagement ring in the U.S. fell
slightly in the second quarter to $3,360, according to the latest data from The
Wedding Report.
This represents a decline of 0.5 percent from $3,378, which
was the average price in the first quarter, the report said. The average price
of wedding bands also fell 0.5 percent over the same period to $1,246.
The cost of weddings also followed the downward trend, the
average price slipping 0.4 percent to $26,519.
