RAPAPORT...
Dominion Diamond Mines CEO Patrick Evans has stepped down with immediate effect after a year at the company, the miner confirmed to Rapaport News Sunday.

Evans joined the Canada-based producer in November 2017 after its $1.2 billion acquisition by Washington Companies. Prior to that, he was CEO of Mountain Province for 12 years.

Shane Durgin, Dominion’s chief operating officer, will take over as CEO, having joined the company in September.

“I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Patrick for the important work he has done,” said Larry Simkins, president of Washington Companies. “His contributions are appreciated, and we wish him all the best in his future endeavors.”
