Antwerp-based diamond manufacturer HB has hired Boaz Lev as operations director and one of its managing partners.

Lev spent 12 years at Malca-Amit, where he was the managing director of its Belgium division, helping to introduce several of the logistics company’s services for the diamond trade.

HB, which diamantaire Oded Mansori established, gained prominence this year after partnering with Louis Vuitton to buy the 1,758-carat Sewelô diamond from Lucara Diamond Corp. It also agreed to purchase all of Lucara’s rough over 10.8 carats through the end of 2020.

The company has also recruited Margaux Donckier, spokesperson for the Antwerp World Diamond Centre (AWDC), as its director of communications and external affairs. She started in the new role on September 1, with Karen Rentmeesters taking over her responsibilities at the AWDC.
