RAPAPORT... Jewelry store chain Bailey Banks & Biddle hired Baltimore, Maryland-based Smyth Jewelers to manage its operations, purchasing, administration and field support functions for nine store locations.
Bailey Banks & Biddle reemerged in its own right following the bankruptcy of its former parent company, Finlay Enterprises, and operates stores in Arkansas, California, Florida, Missouri, Pennsylvania, Texas and Virginia. Smyth Jewelers’ executives Mark Motes and John Jackson will serve as chief executive and chief operating officer, respectively, of Bailey Banks & Biddle. Motes said, “For some time now, Smyth has served a consulting role with Bailey, Banks & Biddle where we shared best practices and sales techniques so we are very familiar with the quality of the brand. We are known for our unparalleled customer service and satisfaction and will extend that same commitment and dedication to Bailey, Banks & Biddle stores across the country.” Smyth Jewelers operates three retail locations and two Pandora retail stores across Maryland in addition to eight Pandora retail stores nationwide.
