RAPAPORT... Stornoway Diamond Corporation reported a fatality on its winter ice road that links Route 167 to its Renard diamond project in Quebec. The company stated that a truck driver, who was working for a transport company, was killed on March 11 in an isolated incident, while delivering mining supplies with a convoy.

"We are deeply saddened by this tragic event, and extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the driver. Our thoughts and prayers are with them at this difficult time," said Matt Manson, Stornoway's president.

Stornoway stated that it was providing support to the driver's family and his colleagues and will work closely with the authorities to investigate the accident.
