Martin Rapaport's annual "State of the Diamond Industry" presentation provides strategic insights that jewelers need to understand the outlook for demand and supply, as well as a forecast of diamond prices going into the Christmas season.

In this video presentation, special guests include  the honorable Onkokame Kitso Mokaila, Botswana’s Minister of Minerals, Energy and Water Resources, and Vipul Shah, the chairman of India’s Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC). Botswana is the world’s largest producer of rough diamonds and India is the world’s largest diamond manufacturing country.

Rapaport focuses on “The Last 18 Inches,” highlighting the vital importance of retail jewelers who move diamonds across the 18-inch jewelry counter to the consumer. He highlights strategic challenges and opportunities facing jewelers, while providing practical suggestions of what jewelers can and should do to improve their business.
