Taiwan Jewellery & Gem Fair Begins November 21

RAPAPORT... UBM Asia Ltd. will host the Taiwan Jewellery & Gem Fair 2014 from November 21 to 24 in Hall 1 of the Taipei World Trade Centre and has doubled the number of exhibitors compared with one year ago. The upcoming fair attracted   270 exhibitors from 23 countries and regions and supports 11 pavilions, including region-based space for Germany, Hong Kong,  India, Italy, Japan, Korea, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Taiwan and the U.S. 

UBM stated that  demand for fancy colored diamonds and precious stones has been increasing dramatically in the region, and to highlight fine craftsmanship from  Taiwan, local exhibitor Li Shin Jewellery will display  a sapphire necklace with an estimated value of $2.7 million. Arnav Inc. which will participate in the U.S. pavilion,  will exhibit a rare Columbian emerald necklace with pearls and  diamonds. 

In addition, Dr. Stefan Bayer from Germany will present untreated Sri Lanka and Burma sapphire family treasures, which can be traced back to 1899. Emi Weis Opals will showcase a variety of high-quality and colorful opals.  Some of the exhibitors that offer loose diamonds and colored gemstones include JB Brothers, Pansuriya Impex, Sunny Gem Co., Lorenzo, KGK Gems, Gems Trading Co. and Shree Jee Gems Stone, according to UBM.
