RAPAPORT... Israel-based diamond manufacturer The Dalumi Group acquired online diamond and jewelry retailer Zoara.com.

The deal gives Zoara direct access to wholesale suppliers and repositions the site as a “leading” jewelry ecommerce platform, said Dalumi, a De Beers sightholder.

Zoara sells loose diamonds, diamond engagements rings and diamond jewelry in more than 40 countries worldwide and will unveil an updated product catalog of more than 200,000 loose stones.

“Dalumi’s involvement in the international diamond markets spans rough diamond sourcing, manufacturing and distribution, to marketing and even branded lines,” said Tomer Tzach, Zoara’s chief executive office. “This expansive operation will contribute to optimizing Zoara’s sourcing and production.”
