South Africa Bourse Elects New Chairman

RAPAPORT... The Diamond Dealers Club of South Africa has elected Molefi Letsiki to serve a three-year term as chairman.

Letsiki, the owner of Molefi Letsiki Diamonds, was elected at the diamond exchange’s 18th annual general meeting, which took place virtually on July 22, Letsiki told Rapaport News last week. Prior to taking over from Lionel Noach, Letsiki served as deputy chairman to both Noach and his predecessor, Ernie Blom.

Meanwhile, Richard Ramsden, the owner of Ramsden Diamonds, will become vice chairman.

The organization also elected an executive committee at the meeting. The members are:

Carlo Prinsloo, co-owner of Romanelli Diamonds
Angela Yeung, founder of luxury and jewelry company Impilo Collection
Aron Blom, of Blom Diamonds
Trevor Temkin, owner of Temkin Diamonds
Lior Sitton, of Lior Diamonds
Nielette Henderson, founder of SA Diamond Source
Omri Levi, of wholesaler Protea Diamonds
Matthew Taylor, chief marketing officer of UniSky Group
David Woolf, owner of David Woolf Diamonds
Darren Etkind, director of D&D Diamonds
