RAPAPORT... The Jewelry Information Center (JIC) launched its fourth annual ''Ultimate Proposal Contest'' at www.JIC.org/contest to again find a couple with the best proposal story. This year, the grand prize winner receives a bridal shopping spree that includes a $1,000 gift card redeemable at a Jewelers of America-member jewelry store and a $1,000 gift card to David's Bridal®. Contestants enter their engagement proposal story along with a photo or video at JIC's website through April 15, 2013, after which the online community will be able to cast a vote for their favorite entry. The top 20 entries with the most votes will move into the final round of judging for a chance at being named JIC's winner. "The Ultimate Proposal Contest celebrates the incredible creativity and passion that love inspires. Whether newly engaged or long married, a couple's proposal story is one of the most significant moments of their life together. Much like the engagement ring, it reflects their commitment and love," said Amanda Gizzi, the spokesperson for JIC. In addition to the grand prize shopping spree, the 20 finalists receive a $25 American Express® gift card and a pair of Lenox™ champagne flutes. Sponsors of contest include David's Bridal and Perfect Circle by Jewelers Mutual Insurance Company.
