RAPAPORT... The French Trade Commission-UBIFRANCE and The Mark Kearney Group are presenting the 5th edition of "The Jewels of France" in Beverly Hills, California, an exclusive three-day trunk show featuring new collections by some of the most renowned jewelers in France. The show runs from October 18 to October 20, 2011 at Jewels by Nasrin Imani, 9777 Wilshire Boulevard, Beverly Hills.

On opening day, October 18, David Martinon, the Consul General of France, will host a  reception with proceeds from that event going towards the Arthritis Foundation's Juvenile Arthritis programs. A closing night reception will take place on October 20  at Perrin Paris, a luxury leather goods boutique in Beverly Hills, with proceeds from the evening's party benefiting the Los Angeles Dream Center.

Executive chef Mark Kearney will be saluting France with his signature Hors d'oeuvres and savoir-faire, with Maine lobster blinis and blood orange champagne jus, and filet mignon tartare on a crispy purple fingerling potato. While living in Paris, Kearney studied French cuisine and haute couture with his friends Giorgio Armani and Patrick Demarchelier, and the House of Dior.

The Jewels of France trunk-show has become an annual rendez-vous for the finest artisan designers of French jewelry. Seven collections that epitomize  contemporary French jewelry design include:  Damoiselle D, inspired by the French cultural heritage, crafts and jewelry expertise, fills the missing gap of refined and eternal ladylike watches; Edéenne, a young, talented designer, whose work was recently showcased at the Museum of the Legion of Honor in Paris; Mathon, known for their dazzling use of color and nature-inspired motifs; and Poiray, known for "Ma Première" watch, "The Heart" and the "Symbole" Ring (in which a hidden message can be engraved), Poiray is any true Parisian's favorite bijoux.

The show also includes Tahitian pearl designs by Tacoma; Valerie MacCarthy, a renowned opera soprano turned jewelry designer with eco-inspired creations of gold, silver and Brazilian wood; and Aveva, which will exclusively design unique fantasy pieces for clients.

Jewels of France is also possible through partnerships with local organizations, including Perrin Paris, a luxury leather handbag brand, Unici by Michael R. Foroutan, an Italian glass, ceramics and lighting retailer, Los Angeles based fashion designer Kevan Hall, Beverly Hills chocolate brand Madame Chocolat, and French food supplier Sonoma-Artisan Foie Gras.
