TBZ, Kiran, Many Others Win IJ Choice Awards

RAPAPORT... The third annual IJ Jewellers Choice Design Awards were unveiled on December 20 during the Jaipur Jewellery Show and presented by Indian Jeweller Magazine. The awards recognized innovative and creative designs this year across 12 categories, most of which were separated by price points. (INR 25,000 = $403; INR 250,000 = $4,037; INR 1 million = $16,149)

Kiran Jewels (Kiran Gems) of Mumbai won for the diamond jewelry category with price points under INR 500,000, while Mirari of New Delhi won for pieces priced at more than INR 500,000.   tbz bridal

In the colored stone jewelry category, Sona Chandi of Kanpur won for under INR 500,000 and BR Designs Pvt. Ltd. of Surat won for over INR 500,000. Gold jewelry category winners included Raniwala Jewellers Pvt. Ltd. of Jaipur  for the under INR 250,000 price and Laxmi Jewellery Export Pvt. Ltd. of Ahmedabad won for over INR. 250,000.

There were two winners for the designer jewelry category under INR 500,000, including KGK Entice Pvt. Ltd. of Jaipur and Tribhovandas Bhimji Zaveri (TBZ) Ltd. of Mumbai. Dipti Amisha of Mumbai won for the over INR 500,000 price point in designer jewelry.

IJ's judges selected DM3 Gems Pvt. Ltd. of Mumbai as the winner for the CZ jewelry price. The men's jewelry category winner was Aum Monica Kapoor of Gurgaon.

For the best necklace design, judges selected two winners for the under INR 500,000 category: GRT Jewellers India Pvt. Ltd. of Chennai and Vaibhav & Abhishek by Kalinga of Mumbai.  While Birdhichand Ghanshyamdas Jewellers of Jaipur won for the INR 500,001 to INR 1 million category, judges selected H.V. Jewels Pvt. Ltd. of Mumbai as the winner for the over INR 1 million category.

Kays Jewels Pvt. Ltd. of Kanpur won for best ring design under INR 250,000 and Indus Jewellery LLP of Jaipur won for over INR 250,000.  The best bracelet design for under INR 500,000 went to Kashi Jewellers of Kanpur and  Charu Jewels of Surat won for the over INR 500,000 price category.

Mahabir Danbar Jewellers Ltd. of Kolkata took first place for best earrings under INR 500,000 and Bapalal Keshavlal of Mumbai won top prize for the over INR 500,000 price range.

Kalajee Jewellery of Jaipur won best bridal design for price points under INR 1 million, TBZ won (pictured above) for price points between INR 1 million and INR 2 million and Aisshpra of Gorakhpur won for prices over INR 2 million.

The best price point jewelry (under INR 25,000) prize went to Jewel Goldi of Mumbai and for the  INR 25,000 to INR 50,000 price range, judges selected Jewel Saga of Jaipur as the winner.
