Kennady Receives Sample Grades From Recent Kelvin Drill Program

RAPAPORT...  Kennady Diamonds Inc. reported that its Kelvin 2014 summer and fall core drilling program returned a sample grade of 3.64 carats per tonne of ore at the Kelvin South lobe and 5.95 carats per tonne from the Kelvin Sheet. Kimberlite from both samples were processed by caustic fusion at the Geoanalytical Laboratories Diamond Services of the Saskatchewan Research Council (SRC).

The 1.83 tonne Kelvin South Lobe sample was recovered by HQ diamond drilling and these core holes also served as pilot holes for the 2015 Kelvin bulk sample that was recovered using large diameter reverse-circulation drill rigs.

Kennady Diamonds' CEO, Patrick Evans, explained, "We are very pleased with these excellent diamond recovery results... These results support the potential for the Kelvin kimberlite to host a high-grade diamond resource. Based on drilling and sampling completed to date, we estimate that the Kelvin – Faraday kimberlite cluster has the potential to host between 10 and 13 million tonnes at a grade of between 2 and 2.50 carats per tonne."

In addition, Kennady Diamonds also has a 2.73 tonne  kimberlite sample from the Kelvin North Lobe that is being processed by caustic fusion at the SRC.  Also, processing of a 436 tonne Kelvin bulk sample through the SRC dense-media separation plant will begin before the end of May and the diamond recovery results are expected before the end of the third quarter.
