Alex and Ani President Steps Down: GoLocalProv

RAPAPORT... Harlan Kent, president of jewelry manufacturer and retailer Alex and Ani for a year, has stepped down to become the third chief to leave in two years, according to Rhode Island news website GoLocalProv.

The company is now seeking a chief operating officer to replace Kent, who took over from the company’s founder Carolyn Rafaelian, the news report said March 4, citing an internal memo from Rafaelian.

Meanwhile, Oscar Salazar, a co-founder of taxi dispatch company Uber, will join Alex and Ani’s board, according to the report.
