Pangolin's Diamond Find Could Prove Promising

RAPAPORT... Pangolin Diamonds Corp. said it discovered a type-II rough
diamond from its mine in Botswana about 105 kilometers off a site that produced
two huge diamonds last year.
Type-II stones represent about 2 percent of the world’s
diamonds. They include the 1,109-carat and 813-carat diamonds recovered by
Lucara Diamond Corp. at the Karowe mine in the southern African country in November.
Pangolin analyzed seven diamonds from its MSC Grid mine and
found one was type II, five were type I aB and one is type I aA. About 98
percent of the world’s diamonds are type Ia in the range between pure type I aA
and pure type I aB, the miner pointed out.
Drilling for kimberlite in the MSC Grid will start in the
second half of 2016.
