Tiffany Opens Its ‘Flagship Next Door’

RAPAPORT... Tiffany & Co. has unveiled the location that will serve as its home during the two-year renovation of its New York flagship store.
The Tiffany Flagship Next Door, a four-story space on East 57th Street, adjacent to the jeweler’s Fifth Avenue store, will take the place of its primary location until late 2021. Tiffany plans to test out periodic installations and exclusive partnerships in the atrium of the temporary space.
“Each floor offers a unique visual concept that complements its contents and embraces the experimental nature of the space with whimsical nods to its impermanence,” the company said Monday.
The main floor of the space will feature Tiffany collections, including Tiffany T, Tiffany Paper Flowers and Tiffany Keys, while the men’s collection will be located on the second floor. The third floor will house love-and-engagement jewelry, with home and accessories showcased on the top floor. Every level will also contain a private selling room, and the store will offer customers a VIP salon.
“We have created something truly unique and visually dynamic with this space,” said Tiffany chief artistic director Reed Krakoff.
Tiffany’s flagship store has been located at 727 Fifth Avenue since 1940. It announced its plans to renovate the space in August.
