RAPAPORT... Neiman Marcus unveiled the 85th edition of its annual Christmas Book in Dallas today and while the festive catalog is known for its  fantasy gifts, the retailer is offering a number of jewelry collections too. Roberto Coin jewelry included in this year's Christmas Book showcases a collection of heart, cross and solitaire necklaces featuring diamonds in 18-karat gold. In addition,  Roberto Coin's colorful Fantasia Fireworks collection, pictured, is available and highlights the designer's use of amethyst orange sapphire, citrine, green topaz, peridot and  diamonds.  fantasy gifts

Christmas Book 2011 also offers diamond and gold earrings from the David Yurman Starburst collection. Other diamond and gold jewelry includes necklaces, bracelets, earrings and bangles by Jose and Maria Barrera, Aurelie Bidermann, John Hardy, Marco Bicego and Ippolita.

Fantasy gifts in the 2011 Christmas Book include 10 ''Ferrari FF" automobiles, with a base price of $395,000 each, and delivery planned for spring 2012. There are 10 Neiman Marcus-edition Hacker-Craft speedboats, each priced at $250,000, featuring a hand-built  27-foot, mahogany exterior with a Mercury Marine 8.2 High Output 425-horsepower engine-CE that is also compliant for use in Europe. The speedboat can be delivered with the name bestowed upon it in 23-karat gold leafing.

Touching on the "experiential" gift concept, shoppers can indulge themselves with a daytrip to Stone Barns Farm in Westchester County,  New York for $9,500. The event includes the price for six guests, a hands-on learning experience as part of the "edible garden lesson," and a four-course lunch to taste the season's ingredients as prepared by chef Adam Kaye. There is also a  luxury weekend package for two for which the couple will  immerse themselves in how the farm works to improve the way we eat and includes dinner prepared by chef Dan Barber at Blue Hill. Overnight accommodations for the weekend  package will be at the Ritz-Carlton Westchester and cost $20,000.

Botany enthusiasts may chose a $420,000 Christmas gift that Neiman Marcus called a "Flower Show Tour" that takes nine travelers to Europe's most celebrated flower shows in 2012. The round-trip event  includes all show tickets, accommodations and private jet service with JetWay Private Air beginning May 12, 2012, with a first stop at  Merges, Switzerland for the tulip festival, followed by  Athens, Greece, for the Kifissia Flower Show; Avignon, France, for  the Altera Rosa Festival; and a final stop at  London's Chelsea Flower Show.

For those seeking  an experience in their own garden, Neiman Marcus created its  "Dream Folly" fantasy gift that was inspired by the  1960s television show ''I Dream of Jeannie'' and attempts to simulate a life-size version of the inside of a genie's posh bottle.  The structure consists of weather-ready materials and the interior offers a bevy of one-of-a-kind, down-filled pillows, accessories, linen wall coverings, a handcrafted crystal chandelier and other customizable options. This gift starts at $75,000 and the price includes installation.

Someone with large outdoor space may enjoy the top-priced fantasy gift this year. Offered by fountain specialist WET, a $1 million, "His & Hers" gift includes a personal scale fountain showcasing two of its underwater robotic nozzles dancing as a couple for a garden feature. The elegant sprays  whirl, twirl, sweep, and bow sometimes in unison, sometimes as counterpoints, but always with engaging grace. A second package offered by WET, the "Guest Choreographer,"  sells for $500,000 and will permit the buyer to experience choreographing a song to be performed by The Fountains of Bellagio.

If your home needs a library, Neiman Marcus offers the "Assouline custom-built library fantasy gift" for $125,000 and includes a one-of-a-kind Assouline collection, consisting of 250 current and vintage volumes of choice.  Other fantasy gifts include a Johnnie Walker private Scotch tasting event for $5,000 and  a limited-edition Tom Burr rubber table-tennis set, which also doubles as a contemporary work of art, for $45,000.

Eight of the fantasy gifts  feature a unique charitable component. The 2011 charities include, the Double H Ranch, Stone Barns Center, First Book, the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, amfAR™ and Big Brothers Big Sisters.

''The annual holiday tradition continues this year with a new selection of fantasy gifts that cater to people’s wildest dreams and promise to provide truly unique, once-in-a-lifetime experiences,'' said John E. Koryl, the president of Neiman Marcus Direct. ''This year’s gifts live up to the time honored tradition of presenting our customers with the rare and unusual, while also incorporating connections to a group of wonderful charitable organizations that will see a tremendous benefit from the sale of their corresponding fantasy gifts.''

Customers may access the Christmas Book on Apple’s iPad via the "NM Editions" app.
