Kama Schachter Hosts Employee Sports Meet

Press Release: One of Asia’s largest diamond jewelry manufacturers, exporter and retailers, Kama Schachter, recently organized its annual sports meet in Mumbai. The 2014 Sports Meet celebration was part of the company’s employee development and internal social responsibility program and is aimed at fostering team culture among the employees and reinforcing the need for constructive competitiveness and importance of teamwork. sports event

Kama has nearly 1,000 employees working at three different locations in Mumbai and its annual sports meet is one of the opportunities that bring the Kama family together. It is also one of many such events organized by the company in an effort to build interpersonal relationship among employees, promote companionship, commitment and teamwork.

The event saw participation of more than 850 employees divided into six different teams. The event saw a variety of sporting activities such as the 100 meter and 400 meter free race, relay races, long jump, football, a cricket Tournament and even fun games such as tug-of-war.

All the senior team members of the organization, including Colin Shah, the managing director of Kama Schachter, were present at the event. “At Kama, we believe in working hard and having fun! The annual sports meet plays an instrumental role in emphasising the role of teamwork within the organization. This year in the effort to boost employee morale and recognize their hard work, we felicitated several best employees with employee of the month accolade,” Shah said. 

Toward the end of the event, all the winners were awarded with trophies and medals.
