Signet Names New Chief Information Officer

RAPAPORT... Signet Jewelers Ltd. appointed Daniel Shull as the retailer's first chief information officer, who will be responsible for the company's technology systems and oversee that IT solutions and capital investments are aligned with the growing needs of the business. Shull will begin his role on January 5, 2015, serve on the executive committee and report to Signet's CEO, Mark Light.
 
"Dan will help us continue to identify new and groundbreaking ways to serve our guests and expand our initiatives," said Light. "He is an innovative thinker with a dynamic, multifaceted background in retail and IT. We are all very excited for Dan to join the team at Signet and look forward to him contributing to our success and growth."

Shull will join Signet after more than seven years at Nike Inc., where he held senior IT leadership roles, including global retail chief information officer and most recently was vice president of strategy, architecture and portfolio. Prior to Nike, Shull spent 15 years at Borders Group, where he rose to interim chief information officer and served as vice president of application development.
 
Signet operates  Kay Jewelers, Jared The Galleria Of Jewelry,  H.Samuel,  Ernest Jones,  Zales, Peoples and Piercing Pagoda, as well as online properties for each of the company's brands.
