RAPAPORT... French luxury goods company Kering has appointed Sabina Belli as chief executive officer of the Pomellato group, after acquiring the Italian jewelry brand in 2013.

Belli, a former executive at LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, will be responsible for the Pomellato and Dodo brands, effective immediately, according to a statement December 10. She will report to Albert Bensoussan, CEO of Kering’s watches and jewelry division.

Current Pomellato CEO Andrew Morante will leave by the end of 2015 after a “harmonious” handover to Belli, as planned since the acquisition agreement.

Belli joined Kering in April 2015 as general manager of the Pomellato brand.

“The two brands, Pomellato and Dodo, have a true distinctive creative identity and vision which makes them very unique on the jewelry market today,” Belli said. “I look forward to writing the next chapter in the history of such inspiring brands.”
