RAPAPORT... Ben Bridge Jeweler has appointed Lisa Bridge as its first female president amid a shake-up of senior positions at the family-run retailer.

Bridge (pictured), previously vice president of education and creator of the Lisa Bridge Collection, also took on the role of chief operating officer, effective November 1, the Berkshire Hathaway subsidiary said Tuesday.

As the Seattle, Washington-based jeweler’s youngest top executive in more than 60 years, she will oversee merchandising, operations, marketing, sales and human resources.

“With the challenges facing retailing, I am excited to have someone passionate for the jewelry business, with creative ideas and an understanding of today’s consumer, at the helm,” said Warren Buffett, whose holding company Berkshire Hathaway has owned Ben Bridge for 17 years. “Lisa has retailing in her blood, and I am excited for the future with Lisa as president.”

Jonathan Bridge, the company’s co-CEO and general counsel, is retiring, with Edward Bridge, who was both president and co-CEO, becoming chairman and the sole chief executive.

“I love the relationships that are built over a beautiful piece of fine jewelry, and I am eager to provide amazing experiences for each of our customers,” Lisa Bridge said.
