LVMH's HD Digital Signs Go Up at JFK Intl. Airport

RAPAPORT... LVMH brands will become more visible to the 4.6 million passengers traveling from New York's JFK Terminal 1 through two HD digital signs provided by advertising display firm JCDecaux.

The 15 feet by 7 feet signs, placed above the terminal's TSA security entrance, are the first of its kind in North America. LMVH ads will run exclusively for 18 months, displaying synchronized content that feature their brands, such as Christian Dior, Donna Karan, Marc Jacobs, Bulgari, TAG Heuer, Kenzo, Belvedere, Hennessy, Parfums Givenchy and Louis Vuitton.

Terminal 1 is home to a variety of upscale boutiques that sell high-end goods, including jewelry,  and serves 21 airlines, including Air France, Lufthansa, Alitalia, Aeroflot, Japan Airlines, Korean Air and Air China. LVMH stated that airports are a key area for future development and brand leadership.

"We are delighted to have extended our global partnership with LVMH to the U.S.," said Jean-Luc Decaux, the co-CEO  of JCDecaux NA.  "The development of such an iconic digital sign, which features full-motion creative, will be both powerful and engaging for the brands while truly transforming the passenger experience throughout their journey."

JCDecaux is the largest outdoor advertising company in the world. It has operations in 55 countries and  3,700 cities.
